Located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, the original mid-century kit house was built on a small valley which the surrounding lands are at the higher elevation. The house is like being built-on a small “valley” with its middle part is visible as a 3 floor home. The exterior of the house looks enchanting with the horizontal and vertical wall pattern and slanted roof. The wall is calm in a few gray color shades and has balconies with minimalist balustrade. This modern lake house was designed in three parts, the public area, master bedroom and the guest zone, all were built with durable yet simple and cost-effective materials such as SIP panels and stucco wall over insulated form blocks. Other materials would be concrete for wall finish and floor, and aluminum for windows. Architects: Hughes Umbanhowar Architects.

Its flat roof along with the overall horizontal design is a wonderful contrast to the slope, and its boxy shape is just another beautiful point that would steal passers attention. The sandy wall is cut and decorated with small, long window, giving it a contemporary look, adding a sense of context of being on a hill overlooking the landscape while also giving the interior an ample natural lighting. On the opposite side, natural lighting is provided via large openings while at the same time, giving the overall landscape view of the city to the interior. Ze Arquitectura.

Originally, the intention was not creating a feminine bathtub but the shape of the tub was inspired by the Cabrits peninsula, but the final result can be quite feminine. The shape is ergonomic, and if you are about looking for a freestanding bathtub that stands proudly in its own class. This “Cabrits” by Victoria + Albert is a beautiful choice.

This modern forest house is built inside a really well preserved and protected native forest of the Atlantic Rainforest in Iporanga, on Sao Paulo’s coast, about 120km east of the Sao Paulo, Brazil. The demand by the clients for this summer house / condo is to use minimum lot / land area to build the house while at the same time, fulfilling the need of a large and comfortable house that accommodates 5 suites. The 400 + sq meters total area was divided into three floors. The common area is located on the first floor, dining, living, kitchen and the swimming pool. The first floor itself is raised above the ground floor that accommodates the enclosed service area, a deposit, laundry and the small accommodation for the house keeper couple. This ground level is raised above the humid soil.

The incredible sights, where they are the most available yet the most precious were the main inspiration in building this modern beach house. Anchored above 70 meters high cliff in Dover Heights the design of this modern clifftop / beach house was inspired by Picasso art. Architect Durbach Block Architects used black metal beams that contrast beautifully with the natural rocks and the white walls. The unusual, expressive geometric form / design of this modern beach house gives the house its original uniqueness while at the same time, helps the cliff house to capture what’s the most precious there, the sight. Architect: Durbach Block Architects.

While it is wonderful to see the garden from the ground floor, through the glazing that opens onto a deck, the very high triangle roof with high large glass wall provides views of the sky and the moon at night. This very high roof is made of insulated metal that fits any climate, enhancing the comfort in enjoying the moonlight. Although designing such beautiful project is already admirable, this modern rough stone and glass house was also carefully designed to have minimal impact to the local vegetation. Architect: Giovanni D’Ambrosio.
