The other roof also is a little bit curved but it comes with large and long skylights. Under this roof is a studio where the serene landscape surrounding may help to inspire the artworks. There, the interior of this studio is pretty clean in white wall color and is warmth with its wooden floor. Other part of the interior still boasts similar wall color and wood floor. The balcony, which eof the 2 house additions has, features balcony with dark grey wooden balustrade. The ambiance there is relaxing and looks wonderful since the balcony faces the treetops directly. After recent renovation, this house resembles a modern ranch with classic touch. It is something like a retro car. The main walls are made of concrete while timber material is used for windows, doors, and some of the interiors’ walls. This 3800-sq foot house features six bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. There are an extraordinary fireplace, a three cars carport among other basic rooms. The interesting addition is a beautiful garden with Japanese style. After designing many retreat houses an architect may need to relax and enjoy himself in his own retreat house. The site location is on a hill with very beautiful surroundings of hills, valley and lush green forest. It seems that it was important for the architect to build the house with large glass cladding, mostly for the living areas. These areas also have a reflecting pool that creates the aura of calm and serene as well as mimicking the nature. The other areas are built in separate volumes. These areas house two bedrooms. The glass cladding also are utilized well for those volumes but only at the valley facing sides. These volumes are clad mostly with dark timber. All of the areas including living and bedrooms are sheltered with open roof. The roof also being mounted with PV cells to collect the solar energy.
Home Designs Adeline Soós, Tuesday, January 24th 2017, 10:11:39 AM. This beautiful black and white home is a house of an Australian Architect Sharon Fraser. It is off course, fits their taste and style. And for Sharon it is “something I’ve wanted to build for a while, totally different from the other projects.” For us it is also different than anything we have ever seen. Three different volumes with stunning black and white color and different shape for each volume is something that we will remember at the first sight. With the site overlooking a lush green valley, bringing the outdoors in is a must. Large windows and entry with sliding and pivoting glass doors are the main features for the task. The outdoor swimming pool that enclosed with transparent glass is also designed as a place to admire the nature. The sense of humor of the architect is shown by placing the red rabbit in front of the pool. It can be seen directly from the home when the owner or her guests admire the nature. The home is located in Byron Bay. Australia. photo credit: Richard Powers.

The used of cement product for the home material is the way to honor the birthplace of American Portland Cement for the Architect Joseph N. Biondo. The blue and light gray exterior wall colors are interesting. The blue comes in two shades and in striped pattern for the upper level. This house looks stylish thanks to the geometric blue shades of the wall. The ground level grey concrete wall at the opposite looks solid. The home as a whole is calm and classy. In the inside, the interior design is minimalist with beautiful touch of color and texture from both cement and wood materials.
