Composed of five shipping containers, this “OceanScope” stands beautifully with three different angles of 10, 30 and 50 degrees. Since the container shape is of cubical design, any attempt to flex the shape to make it visually flow and blend with the nature is usually difficult. So the AnL Studio wanted to focus on the designing of the container itself and to show others how the stiff steel building blocks could be attractive as well. These recycled shipping containers were planted firmly on solid concrete foundation and were installed with metal stairs. The beach visitor can walk inside and see three distinct views in every container with different angle. The cuts along the walls serve as viewing windows. There, the interior features 10’ slope and 30’ metal stair to the top. There are also 50’ mirror surface / seat and screen / projection. The interior itself is finished with wood board finish.
