This beautiful black and white home is a house of an Australian Architect Sharon Fraser. It is off course, fits their taste and style. And for Sharon it is “something I’ve wanted to build for a while, totally different from the other projects.” For us it is also different than anything we have ever seen. Three different volumes with stunning black and white color and different shape for each volume is something that we will remember at the first sight. With the site overlooking a lush green valley, bringing the outdoors in is a must. Large windows and entry with sliding and pivoting glass doors are the main features for the task. The outdoor swimming pool that enclosed with transparent glass is also designed as a place to admire the nature. The sense of humor of the architect is shown by placing the red rabbit in front of the pool. It can be seen directly from the home when the owner or her guests admire the nature. The home is located in Byron Bay. Australia. photo credit: Richard Powers.

It is important to establish the root system of the grass before winter, so you should plant your grass in the springtime, or at least in the early fall. Most of the plants will not reach the full foliage growth before three years and you should provide enough space between plants to enable them to growth at full size. Also, a black glossy steel sheets are added on the stair to be used as steps over the pond that connects dining room and kitchen as well as hall and the family room. A simple yet beautiful cantilevered, floating granite-clad staircase is cut into the wall. Creating similar character with the entire interior design, the black floating staircase is complemented with illuminated handrail and glass balustrade. The openness of the house is maintained in the kitchen where a clear view to the garden to the east is guaranteed by frame-less doors which open up to the lanai area that faces the garden. The kitchen is protected from being too exposed to the morning sun with a balcony made of steel grating that is located at the main bathroom. Giving the study an appropriate atmosphere, beside being built facing the north side, the room is also built facing the lanai across the pool. Pyjama lounge along with the children’s bedrooms are connected to the main suite via a bridge that is built across the living room.

The pavement is so amazing with the small stone pavement in various red white and gray colors. The lower level volume of the house features rustic, rough stone wall in grey color while the top floor is wrapped in white plastered wall. The fence is high and also is made of grey stone wall making the entire building looks natural. Being located in a wonderful, vast green landscape, there’s an open area shaded with roof with wood ceiling. This place is clean, minimalist and is decorated by only one tree. The glass wall is beautifully framed by wood with natural finish. The same wood color is used throughout the interior in the form of parquet and wooden ceiling.
