This modern house / villa is located in forested area in Port Washington and the designers were from Studio Wpa. The house is raised over the forest floor, given the terrain is incline and the view from the far below is wonderful, the Pacific Ocean view. The clients requested a place that was peace and quiet, away from the city. Being in the middle of the forest is fresh and relaxing, and the quietness is complemented with a modern home design that adores its serene surrounding nature. Glass is used almost anywhere, inviting views and natural lighting. Moreover, a deck surrounds the house / villa at one side giving a perfect platform to enjoy the ocean view and breeze.
This modern house has wonderful bridge used to entering the home. This bridge is simple and comes with wonderful metal balustrade in brown color. The material of the bridge is made to be timeless. The exterior wood is quite elegant and the texturing for the wall looks a little bit rustic yet is still quite stylish. And, once anyone gets into the front door, the door looks impressive in its red color.
At the opposite site, the main volume of the wood home is supported by stilts foundation. The glass wall above the decking is the perfect wall to invite views and lights inside. And once inside, the kitchen and dining room are amazing space for relaxing. These spaces are designed as open concept dining and living room and are connected to a wooden terrace. From the inside, the dining room is calm, the dining room has long white dining table and black and cream accent dining chairs. From there, the view of the forested area looks so amazing and relaxing at once. However, if the owner wants to enjoy the nature’s view, there is a; living area completed with accent red sofa and brown rug. Architect: Studio WPA.
