This cool two-story house was designed by architect Michael P. Johnson with modern and minimalist concept. The materials and color of choice for the house were chosen carefully to make the house both stand out and blend with the mountain environment. The beauty white and clean walls resemble the snow while the timber wall lining represents the woods. In the inside, the white coloring dominates the interior design. These interiors were carefully designed to give different atmosphere like black and white combination for the kitchen, the all-white bathroom and the warmth timber panels around the living room which physically being warmth by a beautiful fireplace.
Determined by its location in the forest and the owner passion of botany, wildlife, outdoors, and their horses, the architect at Schuchart/Dow has built this home with materials and design that they describe as “Contemporary Northwest Natural.” The “contemporary” here means a home with modern look and elegant lines complemented with modern touches like modern kitchen, glazed walls, and modern concrete floor plan.
