This beautiful house is located in São Paulo, Brazil. This flat-roof-home was designed by Studio MK27 belongs to the architect Marcio Kogan. The design of this beautiful house is simple yet striking. The T-shaped house features an open design for the public spaces, both sides of the public spaces are enclosed by glass walls and doors creating a cozy, relaxing atmosphere inside. The private spaces on the other hand, are closed. These rooms are wrapped in a wooden volume.
The main volume of the home features flat roof that is used for outdoor seating area. This area can be accessed from the minimalist stair located at the side of the rustic yet elegant stone wall fence. This roof area is a perfect space to enjoy sun and is completed with lighting and features a black chimney that directs the fume from the fireplace in the living area.
At the rear side, the garden looks wonderful with the grass and a big tree with lighting. The wall for the backyard fence in this home is very interesting and looks stylish. One side of the wall is calm and warmth wooden wall white the opposite side wall features rustic stone wall. These two walls seem come in different ambiance and both are blended together by the white plastered wall. After the grass garden, there’s a spacious terrace with similarly open concept. This terrace is minimalist, comes with wooden ceiling and has direct access to the living room.
Inside, the interior is open at 2 sides and each has wonderful garden view. You could imagine that breeze from the garden would be fresh and relaxing. The living and dining rooms there are spacious and are completed with natural looking wooden furniture. There’s a long wooden dining table adorned with pendant lamp with black color and cone shape. The living room is completed with wicker chair, yellow armchair and comfortable sectional sofa. Also, there’s a large bookcase and TV wall unit that contains books enough to say that this space is a private library. The kitchen is located at one end with a little bit more private setting than the living room. Also, there’s a hanging round fireplace which its black chimney ends up above the roof at the outdoor roof seating area.
The combination of the colors, textures and the shapes of the building looks fantastic. It seems that the architects of the Studio MK27 play with texturing when they combine the stone wall the wood and the concrete, and even for the interior design. Featuring beautiful design and relaxing ambiance for both indoors and outdoors. Architect: Marcio Kogan – Studio MK27. Images / Photos by Nelson Kon.
